My mom's having her MONTHLY meeting! SOOOO boring! and I made a song, but it's only 2 minutes long, and I want it to be 3 minutes long! Here I'll send the song lyrics in this comment, and maybe you can help me! here they are, thanks (if you can help) it's Ok if you can't though I am having trouble too! Verse 1 Don’t leave me Shining eyes what I see what you Feel inside Nothing Right nothings Strong Without you all along!
Chorus But when you leave all that Disappears when you leave I whisper in your ear, don’t leave me now.
Verse 2 No one knows what I feel inside Everyone smells even it if hides When I feel it all around Then I hear some sort of sound
Chorus But when you leave all that disa—ppears, When you leave I whisper your ear, Don’t forget me now. Verse 3 I feel fear in my eyes Nothing seems to go out right I feel like I’m trapped in something small That day you leave is the day I fall!
Fallin fallin not knowing where I’m fallin.
Chorus But when you leave all that dis-a-pears When you leave I whisper in your ear, don’t leave me now.
Don’t leave me now don’t leave me now don’t leave me now
That's nice! You could start with a chorus; that would add on a little bit. Can you play the melody on a recorder or flute? You could do one instrumental repeat of the melody and the verse, or maybe even two, and do one at the beginning and one in the middle or at the end. You could also work out a break strain in the middle. You hear those on lots of modern songs, a bit where they play or sing a different, but related, bit, often with a key change.
If I knew the notes I would be playing yes, what's a "MELODY"? Some of what you're saying makes sense, but most of it is confusing! are you guys going to med fair in April? my mom said we might, but she doesn't know yet, if you WERE going, maybe you can teach me about "melody". thanks for the GREAT advice! I'll use the stuff I know! :D <3
Well, a "melody" is the main line, the strongest line, on a song. So, if you sing a song by yourself, the part that you're singing is probably the melody. In a consort, the melody is usually played by the soprano instrument, the highest-pitched instrument. In the Merry Musicians, the melody is usually played by ME, because I have the highest-pitched, loudest instrument. So when I ask you if you can play the melody on an instrument, I'm just asking if you can play the same thing you would sing. The second time I said "melody" before, for doing an instrumental repeat of the melody and the verse, I guess I really meant "chorus".
Yes, we have tentative plans to go to the Med Fair, although I'm not sure which day.
April 3rd is a Tuesday this year. The Norman Med Fair is this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, March 30, 31, and April 1. Chuck and I will probably go Saturday.
Hanging out at home. We had Chuck's amazing beef stew for dinner. What are YOU up to?
